Para-Athletic Program
We offer track and field coaching for all classifications to para-athletes aged from 8 to 100 years of age.
-
Ambulatory para-athletes will be integrated with able-bodied athletes during practice.
-
Wheelchair (track and field events only)
-
Wheelchair para-athletes will have separate training sessions.
Competitions
Ambulatory para-athletes will be integrated with able-bodied events in their age group. Once classified, if there are enough para-athletes in an event, they will compete against those of the same classification when possible.
Wheelchair track para-athletes will always compete against other wheelchair para-athletes. If there are no other wheelchairs, they will compete on their own.
Often, different classifications compete in the same heat/event due to the lack of para-athletes in each class. Results are registered at a National and International level according to their classification.
